About Me

Hello! I am Katy Trouvé, a British voice actress. I have always been in love with stories and passionate about storytelling, which is what led me to voice over work. I offer a wide range of voice over styles, including audiobook and video narration in all genres, e-learning, content for children, promotional and explainer voice overs, and more niche projects, such as phone trees and escape room games. Character work is what gives me the most joy, and I love throwing myself completely into a project that requires real acting and natural delivery, such as in audiobooks, animation voice overs and video game voice overs.

What voice over work do you offer?

I offer a wide range of services, including:

What equipment do you use?

I work in a sound treated space with a Rode NT1 microphone and a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th gen interface, editing in Audacity.

What are your rates and Turnaround times?

My rate varies depending on the size and complexity of the project, and whether it is a one-off or an ongoing long term project. My typical hourly rate (PFH, or per finished hour of audio) is 70$, but I am happy to work with you to agree a rate per recording or per week or month, depending on the nature of the project.

I have a quick turnaround for smaller projects, and can usually complete a recording of 20 minutes or less within 24 hours. For larger projects, such as audiobooks, I’ll be happy to discuss a deadline that works for you.

What are your Qualifications and experience?

I have A-levels (UK college qualifications obtained at age 18) in English Language and Literature (grade B), Film Studies (grade A) and Classical Civilization (grade B). This has helped me with my fluency, proofreading skills and understanding of video projects and the entertainment industry.

I have years of experience of working with and caring for children, especially 0-8 year olds, and I understand very well how to communicate with and educate children in an engaging way.

I also have 20+ years of experience in public speaking and reading, and have been trained in skills such as microphone use, adapting tone and style to a specific audience, emphasis, sense stress and modulation.

Where are you?

I was born and raised in the South East of England, but I moved to Mayenne, France, 15 years ago.
